Jeffrey was here.
From: jfb  Thu 09 Sep 2004 05:21:11 PM EDT
It appears that he completed first grade because he spelled "was" and "here" correctly

From: Becky  Thu 09 Sep 2004 11:12:16 PM EDT
Who is this Jeffery? Is he a tresspasser or a worker? I'm confused.

From: MKB  Sun 12 Sep 2004 11:50:58 PM EDT
Becky, John & I have no idea who Jeffrey is!

From: Becky  Mon 13 Sep 2004 08:35:30 PM EDT
Are you trying to find that out?

From: MKB  Sun 03 Oct 2004 09:16:42 PM EDT
The builder didn't recognize the name as being anyone who worked in the crews. Now the drywall is covering the writing and we have doors to lock!

Bay Window.
From: ()  Thu 11 Nov 2004 04:16:19 PM EST
I love our breakfast nook. We'll have such a great view out of the windows!

Kitchen floor.
From: ()  Thu 11 Nov 2004 04:15:07 PM EST
I LOVE this vinyl! Of course, I love blue! I've had several people think it is real tile.

Foyer.
From: ()  Thu 11 Nov 2004 04:13:56 PM EST
I LOVE the vinyl and so does EVERYBODY else. So many people have to touch it because they can't believe it's not hardwood! This was definitely a GREAT choice!!!

Railing.
From: ()  Thu 11 Nov 2004 04:12:02 PM EST
I think I must have some of my Grandpa Brown in me. I love fine woodwork. I'd like to think that he would like our railing also. I only wish that I was able to create fine things out of wood like my Grandpa Brown could. I'll be proud to display the corner shelf that he built and a few picture frames that he made.

Bathroom floor.
From: ()  Thu 11 Nov 2004 04:08:08 PM EST
This vinyl is BORING....fine for a bathroom, but I'm SO glad we paid the extra money to upgrade downstairs!

I LOVE the railing!

Floor & Trim.
From: ()  Thu 11 Nov 2004 04:06:03 PM EST
I LOVE our linoleum choice. It may have cost us extra, but it really added a very nice touch to the house!

... and the kitchen sink.
From: ()  Thu 11 Nov 2004 04:04:47 PM EST
The "blue moron" color looks very nice with the silver sink!

Stained railing.
From: ()  Thu 11 Nov 2004 04:01:51 PM EST
I LOVE THE RAILING!!!

Master bath.
From: ()  Thu 11 Nov 2004 04:03:26 PM EST
We can't quite figure out why the "wall" comes out further than the tub. The linoleum is fine for a bathroom, but I'm REALY glad we upgraded downstairs!

Half bath.
From: ()  Thu 11 Nov 2004 03:58:03 PM EST
The legs of "the dreaded utility sink" are bluish and compliment the blue in the vinyl. Our real estate lady hated that we wanted a utility sink, but this is a horse farm... If the denist, vet, or myself needs a bucket of hot water we'll all be glad the sink is there! Plus it is in our laundry room...really really discusting barn clothes can be soaked before washing if necessary.

Upper foyer.
From: ()  Thu 11 Nov 2004 04:00:12 PM EST
I LOVE OUR RAILING!! I had the pleasure of meeting the craftsmen who installed it. The installer has Percheron draft horses and competes in horse pulls. I really enjoyed talking to him and hearing about his horses!

Picking the chandellier was VERY difficult. At first I wasn't crazy about the pineapples, but this light is really growing on me. I like the color and I like the elegance but simplicity of it. Now, I just can't wait for it to get here!

Blue_Moraine_4646
From: ()  Thu 11 Nov 2004 03:42:29 PM EST
I think we made a good color choice...the "blue moron" matches so well with the vinyl and will look awesome with the stainless appliances.

Failure notice.
From: ()  Thu 25 Nov 2004 12:53:20 AM EST
This was not the sight I wanted to see when I walked into my beautiful house.

From: ()  Thu 25 Nov 2004 12:53:49 AM EST
What failed?

Kitchen sink.
From: ()  Thu 25 Nov 2004 12:56:17 AM EST
I think John & I made a good decision when we chose the kitchen sink light!

Oil Leak.
From: ()  Thu 25 Nov 2004 12:59:04 AM EST
To say I was LIVID when I saw my $1.99.gallon oil leaking all over the basement floor

was an understatent! The worst thing is that the leak wasn't fixed until Friday and it

had been leaking since Wednesday. Come on!

From: ()  Thu 25 Nov 2004 12:59:20 AM EST
Okay, I think it's pretty obvious that I was VERY UPSET by the oil leak. What makes it

even worse was that I was taking my trainer on a tour of a house. I was so proud of the

house and how it great it looked and when we discovered the failure notice...it just

didn't look good...especially on our contrators part...

The Culprit.
From: ()  Thu 25 Nov 2004 01:02:22 AM EST
When I can capture a drip forming with the digital camera, I would have expected the HVAC workers or the contractor to have discovered the leak much sooner than it was...

I could understand if the leak was hidden or complex, but this photo clearly shows just how visible it was. I'm assuming the junction wasn't sealed or tightened enough.

Luckily after contacting the builder's agent the contractor and HVAC company quickly corrected the problem.

Lights, Mirror, Vanity.
From: ()  Thu 25 Nov 2004 01:08:29 AM EST
I'm happy with how this looks.

Window casing
From: ()  Wed 24 Nov 2004 08:07:42 PM EST
I was happy with this photo... It has an artsy, creative look to it... I think the carved circle really helps to highlight the window and adds a nice touch to the overall look!

Thermostat.
From: ()  Thu 25 Nov 2004 01:12:33 AM EST
I HATE the thermostat. For a house of this quality, I would expect that the builder use a better thermostat. I'm sorry... I want a digital readout... is that asking too much?

Exterior Lights.
From: ()  Thu 25 Nov 2004 01:22:46 AM EST
Normally, I like brass. I love brass nameplates on halters! But for some reason, I don't think this is a "brass" type house... John & I will be changing the outside lights to black.
